About Crexa

Crexa is a creator exchange. Two things happen here: people pay for content to be distributed, and people sell what they're good at.

Why it exists

Paying for reach usually means paying for impressions you can't verify, on platforms optimizing for their own revenue. Working with creators directly means DMs, invoices, and no recourse when something falls through.

Meanwhile the people who are genuinely good at cutting and distributing short-form content — the clippers — have no professional home. They compete on generalist freelance sites where nobody knows what good clipping looks like, chase payment by hand, and build reputations that don't travel with them.

Crexa is built for both problems at once.

How it works

Bounty campaigns. Post content, set a rate per view, fund a budget. Clippers cut it, post it to their own audiences, and earn from your budget as real views come in. You approve every clip before it earns anything. You pay for views that actually happened, not for a promise.

The marketplace. Every profile is a storefront. List a sponsored post, an edit, a shoutout, a consultation — anything legal, at your own price. Buyers send a brief and pay. Payment releases when the buyer confirms the work is done.

Both run on the same foundation: real payments, enforced rules, and a permanent record of what was agreed.

What we're strict about

Clippers get the full stated budget. Our fee is charged on top of what a creator funds — not skimmed out of the reward pool. The rate a campaign advertises is the rate that gets paid.

Rates lock when a clip is approved. A creator can improve a campaign's terms afterward. They can never reduce what an approved clip already earns.

Nobody gets paid for work that wasn't delivered. Buyers confirm completion. Creators confirm view counts. The person who'd benefit from a false claim is never the one making it.

The record can't be rewritten. View history, payout history, ratings, and campaign edits are append-only. Corrections get added; the past doesn't get edited.

Where we are

Crexa is early and built in Detroit. If you're a creator, a clipper, or a business trying something here — reach out. At this stage you'll be talking to the person who built it.
