Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy describes how refunds and cancellations actually work on Crexa today. It applies to campaign funding and to service orders on creator storefronts.

1. Campaign funding

When you publish a bounty campaign you pay the campaign budget (plus any platform fee shown at checkout) by card. That money is committed to the campaign and is used to pay clippers for approved, verified work.

Funding payments are not refundable on demand. The only route to getting unspent budget back is cancelling the campaign, described below.

2. Cancelling a campaign

The campaign owner can cancel a campaign from the campaign page while cancellation is enabled on the platform.

Money owed to clippers comes first. A cancellation is refused outright while either of the following is true:

  • an approved clip still has an unpaid balance, or
  • a payout request on the campaign is still awaiting approval or settlement.

You must settle those first. Once nothing is owed, cancellation proceeds.

3. Cancellation fee and what is refunded

  • A cancellation fee is deducted from the remaining (unspent) campaign budget. The current fee is shown to you in the cancellation dialog before you confirm.
  • The fee is capped at the remaining budget. If the remaining budget is smaller than the fee, we charge only what remains and the shortfall is not pursued unless the platform's overage setting is enabled, in which case the shortfall may be charged to the card used to fund the campaign. The cancellation screen tells you which applies before you confirm.
  • Everything left after the fee is refunded to the original card used to fund the campaign. We cannot refund to a different card or to a bank account.
  • The amounts actually applied are recorded on the campaign as the cancellation fee charged and the refund amount, and appear in your cancellation email.

Budget already earned by approved clips is never refunded — it belongs to the clippers who earned it.

Refunds are issued to your card immediately on our side. Your bank typically posts them within 5–10 business days.

If no completed funding payment can be found for a campaign, the remaining budget cannot be refunded automatically and you must contact support.

4. Service orders

Service orders on creator storefronts are agreements between a buyer and a seller. An order that is declined or cancelled before work is delivered is refunded to the buyer. Once an order is completed and settled to the seller, it is not automatically refundable; raise a dispute and we will review the evidence from both sides.

5. Clipper payouts

Payouts to clippers are not "refunds" and are not reversible by the clipper once settled. A payout that is rejected during review is explained in the rejection reason and can be appealed.

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before raising a chargeback. Chargebacks on funded campaigns can suspend an account while the dispute is resolved, because the money may already have been paid out to clippers.
